I want to share a little history behind my photography career. I’ve been taking pictures for friends since I was in junior high! We would get our hair and make up all done and then go out and take pictures of each other! I took my sisters senior pictures when I was a sophomore in high school and I think she’ll never forgive me! She actually sent them to me the other day and said, "Look how much you've improved!" I would sometimes use a point and shoot camera and sometimes borrow the school yearbook camera. My parents bought me my first dslr camera when I was a senior in high school. Thanks parents for all of your support! I will be forever grateful and indebted to everyone who I took pictures of in those early days. Some of those edits.. yikes haha. In 2011/2012 I saw an ad for an internship position while I was attending BYUI. I instantly messaged the photographer, @jon.leask. In those next couple years, that’s when I learned the most and upped my photography game! I am grateful for such a wonderful photography community in Idaho, Utah and AZ! So many kind women and men have helped me learn and grow. My latest photography education experience was at the Kylee Ann destination sleepover! @kyleeannstudios @hiliary.kastudios I can’t even put into words how amazing it was connecting with other photographers and learning more about something I love so much! I actually took these pictures below at the styled shoot! It was fun being with Idaho and Utah photographers in a location that I was more familiar with. We all could have used more protective shoes haha. Those cactus are no joke! They are born to spike you. Categories All

These family pictures were almost a year ago! This family has now added a baby boy! I met the Hatch family in Arizona and got to take family pictures for many of their special moments. We both happened to be visiting Logan, Utah, so we got to take their family pictures in the beautiful mountains at Tony Grove. When we got to the mountain up Logan Canyon and saw how beautiful they all looked, I told Natalie that these were going to be my new favorite family pictures and they totally are! Those little girls were so precious! Their outfits coordinated so well and the scenery at Tony Grove was like nothing I had ever seen before! There are wild flowers, all kinds of trees, and mountain views in every direction. I highly recommend taking a Sunday drive and going to see this beautiful place… Or have me take your family pictures there! These are the kinds of photos that look amazing on your walls! I am so excited to take their family portraits again this summer in Utah! Categories All |
